About Us

The Long Island Claims Association is a not-for-profit corporation formed for the purpose of exchanging information and supporting the interests of those in the insurance claims and related businesses in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Our objective is to promote professional education and ethics, and raise funds for worthy charitable causes. Our focus will be on all areas of the casualty market including Workers’ Compensation, Automotive (No-Fault) and Liability claims. Our membership consists of insurance carriers, third party administrators, self-insured entities, attorneys, medical providers and other related industry professionals.

By maintaining an active network, LICA raises awareness for members to changes and trends in the claims industry, changes in the law, new regulations, medical advancements, and other issues relating to insurance claims, especially with Workers’ Compensation and No Fault.

This is carried out through events, seminars, meetings, online discussion forums, and other means to promote interaction and communication among the members and related professionals. LICA will host professional development series featuring speakers who are top professionals in the industry. In addition we look forward to hosting several professional networking events and gatherings to promote the communication between our industry professionals here on Long Island.

Membership consists of insurance carriers, self-insureds, risk managers, third-party administrators, attorneys, physicians, medical vendors, nurse case managers and other insurance industry professionals.
